A British Overseas Bank Specimen, which mainly operated in South Africa. In 1920 the Bank was bought by Standard Bank, and ceased to issue currency. The "ABC" has currently seven Pick numbers in the Krause reference and all of them are "dash" only for values except for £1 1920 specimen notes. In fact, no other specimens are listed and that includes this number. This delightful example is a well preserved specimen with a map of the African continent on the back.This example is undated and unsigned. Cancelled perforated.
